This article describes how to request shared mailboxes.

Creating a new shared mailbox

If your department requires the creation of a new shared mailbox, please contact the ITS Help Desk. Please allow (up to) three weeks for the mailbox name to be approved and created. To submit this request we will need the following information:

  1. What is the purpose of the mailbox?

  2. What would you like the mailbox to be named?

    Note: All email addresses for shared mailboxes are approved by Communications and Marketing / Web Services. Your desired mailbox name may be unavailable or changed to fit Bethel's naming standards.

  3. Who (two to three people) should be added onto the shared mailbox upon creation?
    1. At least two people must be listed to create a shared mailbox.
