Adobe Connect Online Meeting Session Request
Bethel Faculty and Staff are welcome to reserve a host-led Adobe Connect meeting room through Teaching and Learning Technology (TLT). To request your Adobe Connect meeting room email TLT at firstname.lastname@example.org. In your email, please include: Name, email address, date of first use of the requested Adobe Connect room, whether or not you need training. Please allow AT LEAST 2 work weekdays for set-up prior to your first planned use.
Because of Adobe Connect's licensing policies, each user will be given access to use one Adobe Connect meeting room (one single user license) per calendar year. You may use this Adobe Connect room as many times as you want, in as many classes as you need, or for other Bethel-related educational purposes during the calendar year. Users will need to request to renew their use for the following year. Currently, there is no user charge associated with the use of this single user license.
The link to the Adobe Connect meeting room, along with instructions and links to tutorials for your participants, will be emailed to you. You will need to provide your meeting participants with the this information (via your Moodle course-site or by email). If you have any questions please contact TLT or visit our Adobe Connect Support Page .
An Adobe Connect training session is strongly recommended for all first time Adobe Connect hosts. Email TLT to schedule a training session.
Bethel University's Adobe Connect options:
- Instructor or Host led meetings: These are web-conference meetings in which you as the room manager are the "host" who is responsible for directing the meeting. Most instructor-led course related uses of Adobe Connect take this form. (Only the host requires an Account prior to use. Participants enter the sessions as "guests".
- Bethel Connect Collaboration room: This is a web-conferencing option for groups of five or less. Typical uses are as practice space for students required to give a presentation in Adobe Connect for a course or as a small group online meeting and collaboration space. Accounts for the collaboration room are required for ALL meeting participants prior to use.
