Housing Agreement Cancellation

After a completed housing application is received by the Office of Residence Life, the following cancellation dates apply:

  • June 1 to break the fall/full year portion of the agreement

  • December 1 to break the interim/spring portion of the agreement

  • January 1 to break the spring-only portion of the agreement

Late cancellation of an agreement will result in a Late Cancellation Fee of $150. Late Cancellation Fee increases to $300 if cancelled after July 15th per the terms of the Housing Agreement.

Cancellation during a term follows the academic calendar refund schedule listed below.

  • 100% refund through the sixth business day

  • 75% refund through Friday of the third week

  • 50% refund through Friday of the fifth week

  • 25% refund through Friday of the seventh week

  • No refund after Friday of the seventh week

Students who withdraw mid-semester must check out of housing with your RA within three days of withdrawal.   

To cancel a housing agreement, email the Residence Life office at residencelife@bethel.edu.

To cancel a meal plan agreement, visit the Campus Services office in Townhouse M.
