There are no specific hours when students must be in their residences at night, but the residence life staff encourages a schedule of regular nightly sleep as a part of an individual wellness program. Visitation by the opposite sex is allowed in the residence halls; however,  certain procedures are necessary to preserve individual rights and privacy. Therefore, , visitation is limited to certain hours of the week. Visitation is by invitation only, and all students and guests must leave by the designated time or when you are asked to observe visitation regulations. It leave by your host. It is each student’s responsibility to monitor and confront violations of the time and abide by the visitation policy. Abuse Violation of visitation privileges will policy may result in fines and disciplinary action.

Students should be mindful of the impact visitors have on their roommates. Residence Life staff may intervene if incidents occur where visitors negatively impact the roommate/floor/suite relationships. 

Approved During visitation, room doors should remain open. Visitation is by invitation only, and all visitors must leave at the designated hours.  Approved visitation hours are as follows:

Bodien, Edgren, Getsch, and Nelson*:

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 7Monday–Thursday 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.

  • Friday, 3 4 p.m. - midnight

  • Saturday, noon12 p.m. - midnight

  • Sunday, noon-11 12 p.m. Beginning spring semester (if approved) additional hours of Monday 7 - 10 p.m. will apply.

Arden Village and Lissner, Lissner, Heritage, and North Village:

  • Sunday-Thursday, noon-11 Sunday–Saturday, 12 p.m.
  • Friday-Saturday, noon-midnight

Chalberg, Heritage, Danielson, Turnwall, Widen, Wingblade, and Wessman:

  • Sunday-Saturday, noon - 1 a.m.

Bethel does not have a curfew or specific hours when students must be in their residence halls at night. The Residence Life staff does encourage students to incorporate healthy amounts of sleep into their schedule as part of an effort toward proper well-being. 

*Changes to visitation hours will be made during various holidays and University celebrations at the discretion of the Residence Life Office. These changes will be posted in your residence hall.
