Bethel University has eight residence areas: Arden Village, Bodien, Edgren, Getsch, Nelson, Heritage, Lissner, and North Village (Danielson, Turnwall, Wessman, Wingblade and Widen apartments).

All students who are seeking an undergraduate degree, and are under the age of 21 as of September 1 in the Fall semester

Residence Halls

Freshmen and sophomores (first and second year Bethel students)

are required to live in

campus

university housing

with the exception of those who commute from their parents’ homes.  Requirement is based on years in housing, not on credits.   Juniors and seniors, including junior and senior transfer students,

the entire academic year. Students who are part-time (less than 12 credits), married, or living with one or both parents are exempt from this policy.  The requirement is not based on academic credit status.  Students who are over the age of 21 are encouraged to live in campus housing but are not required

. All students living in Bethel housing are expected to be enrolled full time (a minimum of 12 credits).

  • Students who are enrolled full time have priority to reside on-campus. 
  • Students must be 17 years of age by Welcome Week move-in day.   
  • Housing is available for unmarried, traditional students only. There is no on-campus housing for married students.
  • Non-traditional students age 25 or older who wish to live on-campus must seek approval from the Associate Dean for Residence Life.
